TOWN OF TORREY, N.Y. (WENY) -- A woman was taken to the hospital after police say her car was hit by a train on Thursday morning.

The Yates County Sheriff's Office said 77-year-old Lyndda Bush of Englewood, Colorado was driving east on Seneca Street in the Village of Dresden when she failed to yield the right of way to a Norfolk Southern Train.   The train was traveling North.

The train hit the car, and police say the car came to rest of the west side of the train tracks.  Bush was taken to the hospital for injuries, and the train engineer and conductor were unharmed.
