WAVERLY, N.Y. (WENY) -- A five-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with a cut on his head after falling 30 feet near a waterfall in the Waverly Glen Park area.

Waverly Police say the boy was sitting in a pavilion when his Mother reached him and no rescue efforts were needed. Police say an investigation found the boy ran from his mother while she was focusing on her other children and that's when he fell down the embankment.
