HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- The community is being welcomed to bring unwanted papers and bills to a free community shredding event on September 7th.

SHREDIT will have a mobile shredding truck in the Village Hall parking lot, located off W. Broad Street, to shred all papers on site. The event is for paper only, with no cardboard.

The event is open to Village of Horseheads residents only, excluding businesses. A proof of residency is required. It is first come, first serve basis.
