Corning man facing multiple charges after fentanyl investigation

CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- A man from Corning is facing several drug charges after an investigation into the sale of fentanyl.
According to Corning P.D., 53-year-old Sean L. Murray is facing several charges involving criminal sale or criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Two counts Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Degree
Two counts Criminal Sale of Controlled Substance Third Degree
One count Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Degree
One count Conspiracy Fourth Degree
All of the above listed charges are felonies.
Police said they arrested Murray on August 29th after they wrapped up their investigation into the ongoing sale of fentanyl.
Police said Murray, who's a certified registered nurse, was arraigned and released. They said he was released because the charges are non-qualifying offenses. They also said when Murray was arrested, he was out on pre-trial release for other high-level narcotics charges.
Murray is due back in court at a later date.
