UPDATE: Organizers have moved the meeting from the Big Flats Town Hall to the Big Flats Community Center. It is scheduled to be held at Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

BIG FLATS, N.Y. (WENY) -- A public hearing will be held in Big Flats next week to address public concerns over plans to build a Planned Multi-Unit Residential Development (PMRD) for the Soaring Heights Landing Project located at 83 Hammond Street.

Local residents say they are worried about the property and what the future plans are for building on the land.

Officials from the Town of Big Flats say they plan to use the meeting to listen to residents and set the record straight about what exactly the project entails. In the meantime, fact sheets will be handed out to residents looking to learn more.

The hearing will be held on September 11 at 4:30 P.M. at the Big Flats Town Hall. Anyone is able to attend to ask questions, express their concerns, and gather information on the Soaring Heights Landing Project.
