Local private school receives state funding to implement new safety measures
MANSFIELD, PA. (WENY) -- Pennsylvania is investing almost $20 million in funding for safety and mental health improvements in private schools across the Commonwealth.
The money can be used by schools to hire security and implement new safety technology. Schools can also use the funds to to address mental health crises through training, counselors and other intervention methods.
Locally, New Covenant Academy in Mansfield has received $38,000 to use for the initiative.
