Blustery Thursday and Friday

A cold front will bring more snow showers and the potential for a snow squall into the morning hours. It will be a windy day across the Twin Tiers with some gusts in excess of 40 mph. Mostly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day with the chance for snow showers. Accumulations will generally range from 1-2", but localized higher amounts are possible, especially across the hilltops. Afternoon temperatures will drop out of the 30s and into the 20s. Scattered snow showers with gusty winds will continue Thursday night. Lows will be around 20. Breezy and cold conditions are expected on Friday under partly sunny skies. Wind chills will be in the teens with highs around 30. A passing flurry cannot be ruled out. Mostly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday with temperatures slightly warmer in the mid-30s. We rise into the mid-40s by Sunday with fair skies. A warming trend is expected early next week. Highs will be rising through the 40s and 50s. We see temperatures drop back into the mid-40s on Wednesday. Mostly cloudy skies are expected all three days with the chance for showers.
