Fatal crash claims the life of 18-Year-Old in Bradford County
WILMOT TOWNSHIP, PA (WENY) -- A tragic accident on December 17 led to the death of 18-year-old Ian Hartman of Mehoopany, Pennsylvania.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Hartman was driving a 2000 Jeep Wrangler on Robinson Road when he failed to make a left turn.
The vehicle left the roadway, struck an embankment, flipped, and landed in a creek.
Hartman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Emergency medical technicians arrived on the scene to treat Hartman before he was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
FWM Volunteer Fire Co., where Hartman contributed his time, wrote in a Facebook post Saturday morning: "This morning at 12:01 AM our brother Ian Hartman passed away and now is watching over us. We thank the community for all the love and support!"
