Wintry Mix to Rain

A wintry mix will occur across the higher terrain Friday morning, otherwise expect periods of rain with afternoon temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s. A cold front will drop down later in the day with rain expected to mix and eventually changeover to snow. Snow accumulations will be light and range 1-2" with localized higher amounts possible in the hilltops. As for the weekend, a lingering snow shower cannot be ruled out Saturday morning, but the rest of the day will be dry and partly sunny. Temperatures will end up colder in the mid-20s. Lows Saturday night could drop as low as the single digits. Seasonable conditions return on Sunday with clouds increasing and the chance for late day snow showers. A spotty rain shower cannot be ruled out Monday, mainly mostly cloudy skies and drier conditions are expected. Temperatures rise into the mid 40s. Fair skies and the slight chance for a shower sticks around Tuesday with highs in the mid 30s. Our next system will bring a wintry mix late Wednesday as highs rise into the mid to upper 30s. Rain showers will be possible Thursday as we sit on the mild side around 50.
