OWEGO, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Owego Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at a local gas station.

According to police, the incident occurred on Thursday, January 30th around 9:40 p.m. Officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Kwik Fill gas station located at 450 North Avenue in the Village of Owego.

Investigators identified the suspect as Corey E. Reynolds, 33, of Owego. Police say Reynolds entered the store wearing a mask and brandished a knife while demanding cash from the cashier.

Authorities say they obtained a description of the suspect and vehicle, leading to Reynolds' arrest.

He has been charged with first-degree robbery (a Class B felony) and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (a Class D felony).

Reynolds was arranged in the Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court and taken to the Tioga County Jail. His bail is set at $50,000 cash or $100,000 property bond.
