ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County is set to host its annual State of Ag in New York State this Friday in Elmira. The event is free and open to the public, and is designed to give farmers, community members, policy makers and more a chance to get insight into the issues impacting Chemung County's agricultural sector. 

The event is designed to not only give a look at the economic contributions that local farmers make, but the emerging trends that could require planning for local farms. 

The event is happening Friday, February 7th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the auditorium located at 425 Pennsylvania Ave. in Elmira.
