Sun and clouds on Wednesday

A mix of sun and clouds is expected on Wednesday with temperatures on the colder side in the mid to upper 20s. Clouds will increase tonight as our next system approaches. Snow moves in after midnight and will mix with sleet and freezing rain towards dawn. A slick Thursday morning commute is expected. Winter weather advisories were issued for counties that will likely be impacted on the morning commute. As temperatures rise into the mid 40s, we should see the wintry mix changing over to all rain. Snow and ice accumulation will average near 1". Fair skies will end out the week with highs around 30. Saturday will be dry for much of the day. A low pressure system will approach Saturday night with another round of wintry mix. As temperatures dip into the 20s overnight, we will see the showers become all snow showers. A few snow showers will be possible early Sunday. Temperatures over the weekend will be in the mid 30s. Partly sunny skies return for Monday with temperatures in the lower 30s. Another system will move in Tuesday with snow showers possible as we continue in the 30s.
