(WENY) -- The Chemung Co. Sheriff's Office arrested a 14-year-old from Millport for allegedly breaking into a business and stealing items.

According to police, on December 16th around 9:50 a.m., they responded to a business in the Town of Veteran for a report of a burglary. Deputies said they found a large window that was broken and a lot of merchandise stolen.

After an investigation, several of the stolen items were recovered, and police arrested a 14-year-old on charges of third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The minor will appear in Chemung County Family Court at a later date.

Authorities say they expect to make more arrests in this case.
