Clouds will be increasing as low pressure approaches the area Wednesday. Temperatures will remain chilly in the mid 30s. Snow showers develop into the late afternoon and early evening. We will see a snow mixing with sleet and freezing rain Wednesday night before changing to rain showers Thursday morning as temperatures warm up. A few icy spots cannot be ruled out on the Thursday morning commute. Total snow and ice accumulation Wednesday night will generally be less than 1". Highs will be in the mid 20s under partly sunny skies. Another low pressure system will bring snow to the Twin Tiers Saturday. As temperatures rise into Saturday evening and overnight, there will be possibility of mixing with sleet and freezing rain before changing to all rain into Sunday. Colder air wraps behind the system Sunday afternoon, where precipitation changes back to all snow. There is the potential for a few inches of accumulation depending on how long the wintry mix lasts. Windy conditions will also be picking up as the system moves through. Temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s. A passing snow shower cannot be ruled out Monday, but most will be dry with partly sunny skies on President's Day. Fair skies continue Tuesday, but both days expect cold conditions with highs in the mid to upper teens and lower 20s. Lows will be in the single digits.
