Marvelous Marble Day 2025: Celebrating 10 Years of Twists and Turns

CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- The tenth annual Marvelous Marble Day returned to the Corning Museum of Glass, attracting visitors from across the Southern Tier to engage in hands-on activities with glass marbles.
"We have our Marvelous Marble Runs and they take up the whole entire room," says Nichole Cotter, School and Education Programs Coordinator at Corning Museum of Glass. "We encourage everyone to come in play games, help build them, make them really big."
Attendees, mostly kids, had the chance to navigate and test many twists and turns for marbles to race down. Kids were able to construct marble tracks and test their ideas, experiencing both successes and failures in the process.
"It's just all about community. So they're all working together to solve all of these problems. So we're going to try to do something really crazy," explained Cotter.
In addition to building and playing with marbles, attendees also had the chance to play marble-based games, meet collectors, and learn how to make a marble from scratch.
Cotter shared she is excited for the 11th annual event, which will take place in 2026.
