ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Elmira was alive with creativity as it hosted the first inaugural "Runway to Reality" scholarship event at the Community of Arts of Elmira. This celebration brought together art enthusiasts and marked a collaborative effort between "Runway for a Cause" and the Community Arts of Elmira.

The spotlight was on three students from the Elmira community who have shown remarkable talent and passion for blending fashion, art, and storytelling. These recipients were honored with scholarships to help bring their visions to life.

The three recipients include Bunny Baldwin, Jeremiah Parker, and Kat Thomas.

"The scholarship award winners will receive funds to purchase whatever they need to pursue their college education in the arts," stated Lynee Ruskin, President of the Board of Directors at the Community Arts of Elmira. "The murals have already been designed, and as of April 1st, when [the] mural season begins, the community will start to see them take shape in Elmira, New York."

Each scholarship can be used for various purposes, whether for furthering education or purchasing art supplies and equipment for future projects.
