SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- A person was rescued from the water after a car accident on State Route 13 on Sunday morning.

According to the Odessa Fire Department, a car rolled over in the water near the Chemung and Schuyler County line around 9:45 a.m.  OFD says the patient was able to get themselves out of the vehicle, where a crew was then able to rescue them from the water.

Odessa FD says the patient's smart watch helped pinpoint the location of the accident.  They say the person was transferred to the care of an ambulance without incident.
