CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- Dozens of people from across the Southern Tier came together in Corning on Monday, Feb. 17th to protest President Donald Trump and his policies. It started at Centerway Square before protesters marched up Market Street to the office of local Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy.

"No matter how you voted, if you are uncomfortable with what is going on in Washington, if you're scared, if you're tired, if you are angry, join us. We don't care how you voted, we're going to have to unite to make change in our community," said Shelby Tapp of Southern Finger Lakes United.

Attendees say the protest was designed to call out facism and Trump's efforts to remake the federal government. Organizers say they are planning more protests and events going forward.

The protest was one of dozens that happened across the country against Trump, Elon Musk, and their policies.
