Local State Senator holding menstrual product drive

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- New York State Senator Lea Webb announced Friday that she is holding a menstrual product drive to help those in need.
Pads, tampons, wipes and other items can be donated at three locations across her district, which includes Tompkins, Cortland and Broome Counties.
"As we continue to fight for equity and access, I am proud to partner with local organizations to provide essential menstrual products for those in need,” said Sen. Webb. “This drive represents more than just a donation — it’s a commitment to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, has access to the dignity and resources they deserve."
The items will be collected until March 28.
If you are interested in donating, items can be dropped off at Sen Webb's district offices at 217 N. Aurora St. in Ithaca and 44 Hawley St. in Binghamton. There is also a donation location set up at SUNY Cortland's Corey Union building.
All donations collected will be distributed through community organizations. This is the third year Sen. Webb has organized the drive.
Downtown Ithaca Alliance, Binghamton Metro Doulas and C4 Cortland Communities have partnered with her for the initiative.
