SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- Two Repair Café pop-up events will be happening in Schuyler County over the next two weeks. Organizers of the event are encouraging people to bring anything from bikes and cameras, to lamps and clothes to be repaired.

According to a post on the group's Facebook page, the pop-up cafe is a way for people to learn how to fix their treasured household items instead of throwing them away.

The event will have volunteer "repair coaches" to work with attendees and show them how to fix their items. The coaches can also identify if the product is no longer usable.

There is a limit of two items per guest.

The first event is happening Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Montour Falls Fire Department.

The second event is happening Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Valois, Hector, Logan Fire Department in Hector.
