Police Investigating Downtown Ithaca Stabbing

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Police in Ithaca are investigating a stabbing that happened late Thursday night in the downtown area.
According to the Ithaca Police Department, officers responded to the 300 block of West Green Street around 9:45 p.m. on June 12th for a dispute report. When they arrived, authorities say they found a victim with stab wounds.
Police say the victim received medical care on the scene from Ithaca Fire Department personnel and was later transported to a trauma center for further treatment.
At this time, the suspect remains unidentified and fled the area before officers arrived.
