No Charges in Burned Dog Carcass Case

WYSOX, PA (WENY) -- New details about an investigation into a dog that was found burned on a Bradford County riverbank in February.
The Bradford County Humane Society reports the owner of the dog has come forward, but no charges will be filed. That's because test results of toxicology and pathology revealed the dog was dead before it was set on fire. In Pennsylvania, there is no law against burning your dead dog.
You may recall, an animal cruelty investigation was launched after the dog's burned carcass was found on the riverbank at the Wysox boat launch.
