Corning Woman Charged with Killing Pit Bull

     CORNING, NY (WENY) -- Corning police say a woman killed her pit bull, after a heated domestic dispute.
     Police charged 32-year-old Gaylynn Taylor with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, after she allegedly killed the dog by slashing its throat and stabbing it repeatedly. Police say she then took the dog to a home in Painted Post to dispose of the body. Taylor co-owned the dog with her husband, who was not there when the dog was killed. Police say he is not believe to have any involvement in the dog's death.
     Taylor was arraigned in Corning city court and released on her own recognizance. She's scheduled to be back in city court on October 23rd.
