Police Identify Victims in Fatal Ithaca Crash

Route 13 Crash Kills 2, Injures 2

ITHACA (WENY) -- Police have identified the people involved in yesterday's fatal crash in the city of Ithaca.

Twenty-one year old Prince Griffin of Ithaca and 20-year-old Dominique Slaughter-Smith were killed in the crash. Twenty-four year-old Rakim Slaughter of Ithaca is in critical condition,while 19-year old Isiah Mack of Brooklyn was treated and released. Police say the four were in a Nissan that hit a curb and utility pole at the intersection of North Fulton and Cascadilla Streets.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police say speed was a factor. A state police forensic investigation team is working to determine who was seated where inside the car, and any other factors that may have contributed to the crash.

The accident happened just before 4AM Easter Sunday morning, and shut down part of Route 13 in Ithaca for almost 14 hours.
