CORNING (WENY) -- Corning Painted Post High School is ready to 'reveal' their new theater and they're doing the unveiling with a special performance, appropriately titled 'Reveal', this Sunday at Corning East.
WENY got a sneak peak at the theater this morning. It has over 1,000 seats and a brand new state of the art electronic system, including ceiling speakers and a camera that allows performers to know when they should go on stage.
Over 400 students from both East and West high school are performing in Sundays concert. It is the first time students from both east and west will be joining together as one group, moving towards the merger next year.
Michelle Caulfield, Director of Secondary Education said, "I think it's just starting to make the project seem more real. And from pictures to what it actually looks like now it's just amazing."
A fun little fact about the new theater, a man flew in all the way from Japan working 5 days, 12 hours a day just to tune the acoustics for the room. The show is Sunday at 2:00PM and again at 4:00PM.
