BATH, N.Y. (WENY) -- There was a shooting in Bath late Monday night that left one person in critical condition.

 Authorities have taken three upstate New York men into custody. 24 year old, Steven Alexander of Rochester, has been arrested and is being charged with 1st degree assault.

Around 12:30 AM, the Livingston County Sheriff's Department attempted to stop a vehicle that matched the one fleeing the scene. The vehicle refused to stop, leading authorities on a chase before abandoning their car and running away.

One of the suspects was caught just after 6 AM in Lima. The other two were picked up Honeoye Falls, near Rochester. SWAT Teams, K-9 units, and a state police helicopter were involved in the search.

Alexander is being held at the New York State Police Department in Bath and faces additional pending charges.

The man shot in bath is facing life threatening injuries and was taken to upstate medical center. No other details about the shooting incident are available at this time.
