SUNY Expanding Online Courses

ITHACA (WENY) -- The state University College of New York plans to expand its online course offerings at six colleges, including Finger Lakes Community College and Broome Community College. Chancellor Nancy Zimfer plans to make the announcement in her fourth annual State of the University address at 10:00AM in Albany.
Right now there are 85,000 students enrolled in 12,000 online courses. A new "Open SUNY" program will provide eight online degree programs at six campuses.
She will also announce incentives to encourage students who pursue careers in math and science.
