ECTC Community Workshops
ELMIRA (WENY) --- How would you like to see Chemung County in 20 years?
Well the Elmira - Chemung Transportation Council is hosting a series of workshops this month to get the community's feedback.
Leaders are looking for ways to improve the communities quality of life by working on the transportation system.
During these workshops, residents will be asked how they would like to see transportation improve throughout the years.
County officials say over the next 20 years, the region will be receiving millions of dollars in federal and state transportation funds.
"Transportation is a underline feature that we all use to get where we want to be," said Jim Arey, ECTC Director. "And so it's important for the community to, tell us what would they like to see in the next 20 years. In terms of projects and goals for the transportation system."
ECTC does a long range plan every five years.
The ECTC 2035 Transporation Plan meetings will be held May 20th to the 22nd.
