Second Chrysler Recall
(WENY)--- Chrysler is recalling about 667,000 cars because of electrical problems with passenger safety restraints. The new recall includes the 2013-model Chrysler Town and country, dodge grand caravan and ram C/V Tradesman minivans. An electrical problem could cause the wrong side-impact airbags to inflate in a side crash.
If the van is hit on the right, the left-side bags would inflate, and vice versa. The news comes after last months showdown between the automakers and federal officials over the possibility that some jeep liberty and grand cherokee models could catch fire in a crash.
A compromise was reached in that case, and Chyrsler recalled 1.56 million cars.
