DiNapoli on New York Electric Problems
(WENY)--- New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says the State's Power Authority could provide more rate relief if their resources were better focused.
DiNapoli says New Yorkers pay some of the highest electric bills in the nation.
A recent report from the office of the comptroller shows exactly where that money is going. The report says the authority owns a plane and pays two pilots.
It also pays over one third of its employees more than 100-thousand dollars a year and provides free health and life insurance benefits to some retirees.
