Gas Prices In New York Above National Average
NEW YORK (WENY)- Gas prices in New York jumped more than a nickel in the past week. According to gasbuddy.com, the average price of gas now averages 3-dollars, 89-cents. That's more than 20-cents higher than the national average, which sits at 3-65 a gallon. Here in New York, gas prices have risen more than 14-cent in just a month. They're more than 20-cents higher than this time last year. A possible silver lining... Analysts says the rising as prices could be nearing a peak, as oil refineries finish the changeover to summer gasoline, along with other factors.
