New Bill Proposed For Medical Marijuana
Legislation to legalize marijuana for medical purposes is blooming once again at the State Capital. Senator Diane Savino and Assemblyman Richard Gottfried introduced a bill Tuesday that would allow pot to be used as medicine. It's called the Compassionate Care Act and it would allow doctors to carry up to two-and-a-half ounces of marijuana for those with serious medical conditions. Earlier attempts to pass the same legislation fizzled in the Senate and Governor Cuomo is also against the measure.
