NY: Seatbelt Crackdown

NEW YORK (WENY)--- Monday, New York State Drivers are reminded once again, to 'click it or ticket'

New York state police will be out in full-force today for the 14-day crack-down. Police say they will ticket drivers and passengers who aren't wearing seatbelts.

The U.S. Department of Transportation says more than 20,000 people die in car crashes each year, because they aren't wearing seatbelts. They also say seat belts saved about 12,000 lives in 2011.
