HARRISBURG, PA (WENY) -- The man convicted for killing a local couple in a DUI related crash had his appeal turned down by a Pennsylvania Superior Court.

As we've reported in the past, Roegester Grays killed Ryan and Karen English of Elmira. The crash happened on Route 328 back in March of 2013.

Grays was convicted in 2015 on a slew of charges, including two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence. According to court documents, he tried to appeal his sentence of 21 to 47 years. His defense team tried to challenge blood tests and other evidence.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel Barrett, who prosecuted Grays, argued against the appeal. On July 25th, the superior court sided with the state, and Grays' conviction was upheld.
