Sayre, P.A. (WENY)--  Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf made a rare visit to Bradford County Thursday morning to listen to the needs and concerns of local business leaders. Governor Wolf made the stop at Rynone Manufacturing in Sayre, where he took notes to take back with him to Harrisburg.

Before politics, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf owned the Wolf Organization, a manufacturing company who works closely with Rynone Manufacturing. Because of that, Governor Wolf feels he has a special connection to the industry, and wants to help where he can.

"I need to talk to business people all around the state to figure out what we can do better to make the job creator it ought to be, and is," Governor Wolf says.

Today's meeting consisted of a round-table conversation with about a dozen business leaders around Pennsylvania. The recurring issue the leaders brought up today was not only the lack of skilled workers, but workers in general. Governor Wolf says the solution starts with education.

"We're investing billions of dollars in training and education in the state, maybe we ought to think about making sure we're doing that in as efficient a manner as possible, not just going off in different silos," explains Governor Wolf.

Dick Rynone is the owner of Rynone Manufacturing, who employs 185 people. Rynone, who voiced the same concerns regarding a lack of skilled workers, says he appreciates Governor Wolf taking time to listen to the concerns of local businesses. He also understands a solution will take time.

"What can you do for workforce development? That's something you don't turn a switch, and something happens. That's a long term solution, I think he understands it's a concern, I think he appreciates the concern, I think it's something he's working on," Rynone says.

Governor Wolf took down notes during the discussion to take back with him to Harrisburg. On his way out, the Governor said Bradford County plays a vital role in the Pennsylvania economy.

"Bradford County is really important, and I think what we need to understand is it's not just a beautiful place, there's some really important things going on here," says Governor Wolf.

Governor Wolf finished his visit to Rynone Manufacturing by taking a tour of the facility.
