WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- While most people are getting ready to cook for Thanksgiving, one local organization is giving turkey's a Thanksgiving feast of their own.
Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen is holing their thirty-second annual "Celebration for the Turkey's" event.
During the celebration turkey's are able to gobble down Thanksgiving favorites like pumpkin pie, squash cranberries and kale salad.
The two-day celebration gives turkey's a chance to be the guests of honor instead of being the main course.
"We really love these turkey's," said Farm Sanctuary national shelter director, Susie Coston. "Turkey's are individuals, they all have personalities. So we really want people to come out and meet them and see them because most people never meet a turkey in person. I think it's just very easy to just go to the store and not really think about that that's a life and they're great. They're amazing, wonderful birds and we love each and every one of them. So this is their day."
Spots are still open to see the celebration again on Sunday
