STEUBEN Co., NY (WENY) -- People living in Steuben County are getting the chance to weigh in on next year's proposed budget.
On Monday, county officials will be holding a public hearing on the proposed 2018 budget.
If it's approved, the budget will decrease the tax levy by approximately $10,000 and decrease the average tax rate.
Under the proposed budget, the tax rate will be at its lowest level in more than 15 years.
Monday's hearing is happening in Legislative Chambers, in the County Office Building on East Pulteney Square in Bath and begins at 6:00 p.m.
