ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Clemens Center in Downtown Elmira is welcoming the singular sensation "A Chorus Line" to its stage!

The Tony award and Pulitzer Prize-winning show will have two performances this week. Opening night is Tuesday evening at 7:30. There will be one more performance Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. as well.

"A Chorus Line" tells the story of 17 dancers auditioning for the chance of a lifetime, evoking both the glamor and grind of showbiz.

The performers in this production say they are excited and honored to be a part of the show.

"The things that you're hearing are things that people actually said and these are personalities based on real people and there's something so special about that...getting to do that every night," says Noah Bridgestock, who plays the character "Zach" in the show.

"This show is not about big flashy sets and costumes - it's about people. And that comes across in the writing , in the music and that is such a wonder to get to be a part of every night," says Madison Tinder, who portrays the character "Cassie" in the show.

"A Chorus Line" tickets are priced at $64.50/$59.50/$49.50/$29.50. For tickets, visit the Clemens Center Box Office Monday - Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. or call 607-734-8191, or 800-724-0159. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.clemenscenter.org
