Teenager dies in Bradford County crash

ORWELL TOWNSHIP, PA (WENY) -- A teenager was killed after a Wednesday morning crash in Orwell Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda, the crash happened around 8:30 am on Orwell Hill Road, west of Kadar Road.

Police say the crash involved two cars. One car had a 17-year-old female, a 15-year-old female, and an 11-year-old male. The 17-year-old was driving. The other car was being driven by a 59-year-old man from Rome Pennsylvania.

The car driven by the teen was traveling westbound, and the other car was coming in the opposite direction. Police say the car that was being driven by the teen failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and crossed into the way of the other car.

The 17-year-old driver was taken to Robert Packer Hospital by ambulance for injuries. The 15-year-old female passenger died from injuries sustained. The 11-year-old was flown to Robert Packer Hospital.

The 59-year-old driver was taken to Robert Packer Hospital.

There's no further information regarding the severity of those injured, or the name of the teen killed in the crash. Police say everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
