Bradford Woman Accused of Forgery After Using Victim's Credit Card

Bath, N.Y. (WENY)-- A Bradford woman is facing charges after being accused of using an elderly victim's credit card over the course of a few months to make purchases.

     32-year-old Rachel Cantineri is accused of making unauthorized purchases using the victim's credit card from December 22nd, 2017 through March 13th, 2018. Her arrest comes after an investigation into a report of suspicious activity on the bank account of an elderly subject. The complaint was sent to the New York State Police in Bath and the Steuben County Adult Protective/Home Care Unit. Cantineri and the victim are known to each other.

     Cantineri was charged with 2nd Degree Forgery, and was sent to the Steuben County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
