CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- Nearly 650 travel industry bloggers returned to the Corning Museum of Glass for day two of the TBEX Travel Blogging Conference.
"Every TBEX that I've been to, and I've been to nine of them, I've made connections or business connections or business deals at every single one of them," says Dave Bouskill, who co-runs The Planet D.
The annual event has grown exponentially since it began back in 2009, offering attendees a special look at its host city.
"I get something from every session, even a beginners session," says Julie McCool, of McCool Travel & Fun in Fairfax, Virginia. "It's really valuable and you just always get new tips, everything is always changing."
Sessions focus on everything from social media to building a brand, offering insight for traditional bloggers, pod-casters or videographers. And with industry experts hailing from nearly 30 countries, TBEX go-ers say it's two whole days of non-stop learning.
"You always just get a lot of inspiration from them, but it's also fun meeting brand new people," says McCool. "I'm always amazed at how creative people are being."
This is the first year TBEX has been held in the Finger Lakes Region, with cities such as Stockholm, Sweden and Athens, Greence hosting in the past.
"To come here, experience the Finger Lakes area, the wine, the food, the beautiful scenery, I'm looking forward to getting out there, promoting it, writing about it so everyone can come down here and experience what we've experienced in the Finger Lakes," says Bouskill.
