Congressman Tom Reed Visits Local Law Enforcement to Recognize Their Service

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) – Less than 24 hours before the polls open, Congressman Tom Reed hit the community, thanking law enforcement for their service.

The Republican incumbent spent Monday visiting 23 local police stations, corrections facilities and sheriff's offices to acknowledge their service to residents in their communities.

At each stop, Reed presented an American flag and a certificate of appreciation to officers. One of the locations he stopped at was the Elmira Police Department.

“We have to send a message to our men and women in law enforcement who sacrifice so much for us that we stand with them 24/7, as they have our back, 24/7, 365,” said Reed.

Reed was also joined by State Senator Tom O'Mara and State Assemblyman Phil Palmesano.
