ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- One of the men who convicted in connection to the body found in a dumpster on Elmira's Southside earlier this year, has some new charges to answer for. But this time, it's for a completely different case.
The Chemung County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Kharii Monroe was arrested for aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate -- which is a felony. Monroe is accused of throwing toilet water at a jail employee back in October. His bail was set at $500.

As previously reported by WENY News, Monroe was sentenced to 1-year in jail back in September. He was convicted of assault in connection to the death of Israel Luna. Back in February, Luna was found dead in a dumpster on Elmira's Southside. According to court documents, Monroe punched Luna in the head, causing him to fall down and lose consciousness.
Two other men connected to the case, Fabian Bonaparte and Julian Rivera, were indicted for criminally negligent homicide.
