TOWANDA, PA. (WENY) -- A Towanda man is facing a maximum sentence of 38 years in prison for 24 different drug related crimes.

Leslie Bailey, a 63-year-old man was convicted in January on nine counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substances, which include meth, oxycodone and suboxone, nine counts of possessing those drugs and five counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, according to the Bradford County District Attorney's Office.

Bailey faces a minimum sentence of over 15 years, which under Pennsylvania law, he is required to serve at least that amount of time in prison, before he could be potentially be released on parole until his maximum sentence is up.

The District Attorney said he repeatedly sold the illegal drugs out of his home in the Borough.

"Bailey’s criminal history stretches back to 1980, and he reported to the court before sentencing that he has never held a job in his lifetime. It was apparent that Bailey’s only ‘occupation’ was that of criminal," said Richard Wilson, the Bradford County District Attorney.

Bailey was sentenced for each crime individually, and is required to serve each sentence consecutively.
