#8 Elmira College Women's Hockey Improves to 7-2 with Win Over Williams
The 8th ranked Elmira College Women's Hockey team improved to 7-2 on Saturday as they topped Williams, 2-1 at Murray Athletic Center. Elizabeth Hanson racked up 31 saves to hold the Ephs to just 1 goal. EC is now off until January 5th when they take on Adrian in the East-West Hockey Classic.
Elmira Enforcers Back on Track After 2-Game Sweep of Watertown
The Elmira Enforcers picked up their second straight win Saturday night as they beat the top team in the FPHL, Watertown Wolves, 7-4 to earn the 2-game weekend sweep. Elmira will be back in action December 13th when they hit the road to face the Carolina Thunderbirds.
Mansfield University Men's Basketball Falls Short of Upset vs #6 IUP
The Mansfield University Men's Basketball team hung around with 6th-ranked IUP for a while Saturday afternoon at Decker Gym as they closed their deficit to single digits multiple times, but the Crimson Hawks pulled away and topped the Mounties, 76-63. MU will host Gannon on December 20th.
Ithaca Boys Basketball Tops Owego in Stop DWI Tournament
The Ithaca Little Red Boys Basketball team picked up a win over Owego in the Stop DWI Classic at Binghamton High School Saturday afternoon, 47-36. The Little Red will take on Johnson City Monday night, while Owego will travel to Horseheads.

Edison Boys Basketball picked up their first win of the season over Elmira Notre Dame in thrilling fashion at a packed house at Notre Dame High School Friday night, 62-56. Jack Shaw led the Spartans with 20 points in the win.
Wellsboro Boys Basketball Preps for Season with New, Young Lineup
The Wellsboro Hornets Boys Basketball program is coming off an NTL Championship and a District IV 2nd Place finish last season, but they head into the 2019-2020 campaign with a new look. The Hornets are very young this year after losing key Seniors such as Andrew Brelo and All-State 1,000 point scorer Brandyn Tuttle. With Senior Scott Woodring Back, Waverly Boys Basketball Seeks IAC Crown
The Waverly boys basketball started their season on Tuesday with a competitive loss to an athletic Union-Endicott team 66-55. Though they started the season 0-1, they'll be a force to be reckoned with in the IAC with the return of 6'8 senior Scott Woodring. Woodring missed practically all of last season with a knee injury. The Wolverines were 5-2 before his injury, but finished the season 6-13. The Wolverines lost just 1 senior to graduation.
The Elmira College Women's Basketball team trailed by just 4 at halftime and took the lead in the second half, but they were unable to hang on as the Soaring Eagles fell to Hilbert College, 72-64 Saturday afternoon. The loss drops Elmira to 2-3 on the year, and they'll be back home to host Keuka College Tuesday night at 7 PM.
