The Cornell Women's Hockey team is heading to the Frozen Four for the first time since 2012 after beating Northeastern 3-2 on Saturday. They will take on #2 Minnesota this Friday at 4:00 PM at Quinnipiac. The Men's Hockey team is heading to the ECAC Semifinal after topping Union College i na 3 game series over the weekend. They'll take on Brown University on Friday at 4:00 Pm in Lake Placid.

Elmira's Markel Jenkins, Waverly's Alex Tomasso Win SNYBOA Sportsmanship Awards

The Southern New York Basketball Officials Association announced their annual Sportsmanship Awards. Elmira's Markel Jenkins won the Boys Varsity Sportsmanship Award. He was nominated alongside Odessa-Montour's Zach Elliot, Horseheads' Hayden Robinson, and END's Ryess Youmans. Waverly's Alex Tomasso won the Girls Varsity Sportsmanship Award. She was nominated alongside Watkins Glen's Taylor Kelly and Hannah Morse, Odessa-Montour's Kennedy Heichel, and Horseheads' Jenna Nickerson.

Watkins Glen Edges Millbrook En Route to State Final

The Watkins Glen girls basketball team edged Millbrook 53-42 in the New York State Class C Semifinal to advance to the state final. The Senecas will have the chance to win their 2nd state title in 3 years on Saturday at 7:00 PM against Cambridge at Hudson Valley Community College. Taylor Kelly led the Senecas with 18 points.

EC's Katie Granato and Meg Lahey Named First Team All-American

Elmira College Seniors Katie Granato and Meg Lahey have been named First Team CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association All-Americans. Granato scored 26 goals, sixth most in EC single season history, while tallying 45 points. Lahey was named the 2019 UCHC Defensive Player of the Year.

(WENY) - The boys basketball West All-Star team roster for the 20th annual Stars & Stripes classic has been released, and it features a lot of local flare.  The 8-team tournament showcases the best basketball talent in the area, consisting of four boys and four girls teams. The tournament will take place from Tuesday, March 19th to Friday, March 22nd at Davis College in Johnson City.

EC Women's Hockey Set to Host Adrian College in NCAA Quarterfinals

The Elmira College Women's Hockey team is set to host a familiar foe this Saturday at 3:00 PM in the NCAA Quarterfinals. It will be the 4th year in a row the Soaring Eagles will take on Adrian College in the NCAA playoffs. Elmira College took down the Bulldogs in the playoffs last year 2-0. The Soaring Eagles are 2-1 against Adrian in the NCAA playoffs over the past 3 seasons. The Soaring Eagles are 13-0 at home this season.
