STATE COLLEGE, P.A. (WENY) - Cornell grad and Lansing native, Kyle Dake is headed to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

Dake swept Jason Nolf in the 74 kg Freestyle Championship Series 4-1 and 3-0 at the U.S. Olympic Trials at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State University. It was an emotional night for Dake after his father passed away last week.

Dake was a 4-time NCAA Champion during his time at Cornell, and this will be his second trip to the Olympics after he competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where he was a bronze medalist.

The wrestling competition at the 2024 Olympic Games will be held from August 5th-11th.
