Squirrel creates high voltage arc at substation, causing Elmira power outage

NYSEG crews are on the scene of a substation in Downtown Elmira after a squirrel came into contact with wires and created a high voltage arc on the morning of Friday, March 15th, knocking out power for some Elmira residents.
