CORNING, NY (WENY) -- GlassFest is kicking of their weekend of fun with some music!

Tonight kicked off their Rock the Park tonight in Center-way square.

While this is only the second night of GlassFest, there is still a lot to do.

"We're excited! The wine and beer tasting is well underway," said Gaffer District Executive Director, Coleen Fabrizi. "You may have seen a few moments ago DownBeat Percussion come through, the Buffalo Bills Drum line. They're playing up and down the street and they're going to play over on the stage before the Eagles Tribute Band a little later. So things are definitely kicking off in true GlassFest style."

All of tonight's activities are just a preview of what's to come tomorrow with Rock the Park featuring the band, British Rock Royalty, in the evening followed by fireworks.

"We're going to have vendors up and down the street, along with our fantastic businesses," said Fabrizi. "So there'll be incredible shopping, great food and we're going to continue the entertainment in the park in the evening. Then we're going to have wonderful kids activities that are free, all down towards the end of the street."

Then on Sunday afternoon, the festival will hold a Memorial Day tribute concert in River Front Centennial Park.

In anticipation of the event, organizers set up a field of honor with over two-hundred and seventy American flags to honor veterans and fallen heroes.

"This entire weekend is wonderful, but at the end of the day, it's about the sacrifices so many have made and continue to make so that we can all have the freedom and the fun that we're having this weekend," said Fabrizi.
