NEW YORK (WENY) -- New York State kicks off its Farm-to-School Summit on Tuesday.

The program aims to increase the use of locally grown food on school menus.

More than a hundred school representatives will join state and federal agency leaders, the NYS Department of Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture in Binghamton to discuss the process.

The Summit delivers on Governor Cuomo's promise to bring healthier meal options into schools across the state and boost the agricultural economy.
